The legendary G-Class was originally developed for military use and introduced as civilian version in 1979. The original Gelände-Wagen -project was started from a suggestion of the Shah of Iran, who was at the time one of the most significant Mercedes-Benz shareholders. Developed and manufactured together with Steyer-Daimler Puch and sold by Mercedes-Benz, it has become one of the most iconic 4×4 -vehicles during past over 40 years. And when it comes to design and purpose, it is still definitely one of the most loyal car to its original heritage.

The second W463 -series G -series was introduced in 1989. The biggest update was that the car was now equipped with permanent 4-wheel drive and the ABS -system was optional. The car is same time very simple and agricultural as very smooth and refined to drive. With original differential locks it is capable also when You take it off road.

This exceptionally original ‘1990 300 GE was originally sold from Mercedes-Dealer in Düsseldorf and kept by the very first owner until 2005 when it was imported to Finland by Finnish M.Helin. We bought the car straight from Mr.Helin in beginning of 2024. Since new it has been regularly serviced in Mercedes-Benz dealerships and the very original service book with impressive file of repair and service receipts are preserved.

The body and chassis are in very good original shape. The body was repainted with original Astral Silver colour due to small cosmethical mistakes in 2014. The original grey cloth interior with plywood is as well still in impressive, totally original shape.

Also engine has been overahauled with new cylinder heads, hoses and gaskets in 2012 / 180 tkm’s, and gearbox in 2018 / 218 tkm’s. Among other things, the wheel bearings, ignition parts, starter motor and fuel pump have also been recently renewed.

Original 15 “ wheels have been refurbished in 2024 and the new Toyo AT-tires installed for them.

Last regular service made in Veho in February 2024 / 220 000 tkm’s. Will be sold with fresh service and Mot/Tüv inspection made.

Beatiful, very original example in great condition with extraordinary perfect history since new.
