Range Rover Suffix C ‘1974

Chassis number 35806814C
3.5 V8 Carburettor engine
4-speed manual gearbox
Lincoln Green, Palomino Interior
Two owners 1974–2019
All original documents: Service book, warranty documents, Finnish instruction booklet and English Range Rover Owners Manual
-SOLD to milan, italy-

The Range Rover Suffix C was sold new on 19.09.1974 at Autoliike Vanhanen in Rovaniemi, Lapland and it was one of 183 Range Rovers sold to Finland in 1974. The first owner was a bookstore entrepreneur, Mr. Hyvärinen, from Ivalo, Lapland. At that time, license plates also referred to the region where the car was first registered. The car still has its original registration number LAU-535 from that time. The car was serviced for a long time in the same shop in Rovaniemi, from where it was sold new. All original documents of the car are preserved.

The car was owned by the Hyvärinen family for 28 years until 2002, when it was bought by Mr. Snäll from Helsinki. The car’s engine was completely refurbished in the mid-2000s and the car was regularly enjoyed and taken care of by the Land Rover Service in Helsinki.

During 2018 and 2019, the car was comprehensively refurbished with respect to its original character: carburetors were serviced and the original ignition system was refurbished. The car’s exhaust system was renewed. The car chassis was sandblasted and the body was refurbished. The chassis and the body were rust protected and the car painted in its original Lincoln Green color. The interior of the car and the headlining were upholstered in original Palomino shades. The car mats, door panels and tools are original. The car is in extraordinary original condition and has a little, decent amount of patina which adds to its charm. The chassis and body of the car have remained in good condition over the years because the car has largely been in Lapland where the roads are rarely salted.

The car’s engine is very healthy and feels good and runs fine. The car is easy to drive and the Range Rover’s power steering makes driving comfortable. The car also has its original Pioneer KEH 4020 player.

Range Rover Suffix C was manufactured for only a short period from its release in late 1973 to Spring 1975, when the Suffix D was introduced. Suffix C already featured many enhancements, but it was also the last Range Rover with the first generation Palomino seats. A rare and exquisite collectible item that is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

Range Rover Vogue 4.6 Efi ’1989

Chassis number SALLHAMM4GA403819
Rover 4.6 Efi V8
Two owners, in our family since 1994
Excellent service history, 389 000 km’s
– Sold to Helsinki, Finland –

This car is a real family member. My dad originally sold it the 25th of October 1989 when he was working for Autorep, the official Land Rover dealer in 1980’s and 1990’s. After a few years he bought the car back for himself.

The car has been in our family since 1994. It was my dad’s daily ride until the beginning of 2000’s. In the beginning of 2000’s the car was completely restored and since then it has mostly been used annually as a ‘Sunday car’.

The car has been well serviced also in the past years even if it hasn’t been driven so much anymore. The body and paintwork are in a very presentable condition, even if there’s some stone chips and marks. The body and the chassis are in a fairly good condition and easy to make perfect concourse class. In the current condition it is a great car even for daily use.

The engine block has been replaced to P38 Rover 4.6 liter V8 and the ECU has been adjusted at Jan Speed. The car is pleasure to drive long roadtrips, or tow a boat, for example.

The car has Recaro orthoped front seats that are from the correct time period, but the original Range Rover velour seats also comes with the car.

Fresh MOT 03/2021.

Land Rover Series IIa ’1963

Chassis number 25405178B
Original 2.25 4 cylinder petrol engine
Original chassis, body and paint
Five owners since 1963
– Sold To Paris, France –

The first owner of this car was Valmet/Factory of Kuorevesi, that made airplanes and agricultural machines. From this time there’s still a stamp on the right side passenger door. Before us the car has only had four owners and it has kept in fantastic original shape both when it comes to the technique, paint, body and frame.

The engine has been restored by the previous owner in a Land Rover service. The car is smooth and easy to drive and everything works. The car is recently maintained and it has fresh MOT.

The car has only had rust repairs on the back cross rear member and a small space in the foot compartment on the driver’s side. The car has been kept in a dry space and therefore has remained corrosionless – the body and frame are in great shape. Even the bulkhead is in great original condition.

The car comes with the original hard top, detachable original side windows and a canvas full hood with a supporting frame sticks.

Range Rover ’1985

Chassis number SALLHABV8BA161435
3.5 V8 carburettor engine
5 speed manual gearbox
Balmoral Green, Bronze Check Cloth trim
All original documents, impressive service history – 205 000 km
– SOLD to Paris, France –

Range Rover Classic from 1985. Original 3-door with a V8 carburettor-engine and a 5 gear manual gearbox.

The car has an intriguing history. Kaarlo Pettilä bought it from Sisu-Auto in Salo in 1985 and the car served in his mansion in Salo until the end of the decade. During the next owner the car was taken to Lauttasaari in Helsinki, where it is still today. The following owner had the car until the turn of  the 21st century, after which it was left unused 2005. We bought the car from its fourth owner and after 14 years of standing unused we had a complete body off – nut & bolt restoration done on it.

The car has an excellent maintenance record and even many of the receipts are in a folder all the way from the 1980s. The engine has had a full repair done about 50,000 kilometres ago.

During the restoration 2018–2019 the body was lifted off the frame and both the body and frame were sandblasted, rust fixed, painted and protected from rust. The suspension, brakes and the exhaust were fully renewed. The carburettors and the engine were adjusted. Also the clutch was changed and the engine opened and maintained as well as the fuel pipes and tank renewed.

The beautiful original interior was in great condition and was kept original, except for the ceiling.

The car was painted in the rare and its original color Balmoral Green, which was also used in Prince Charles Range Rovers in 1980’s and available only for 1985 and 1986 model years.

The original rubber side lists are stored in great condition and are easy to put back. The tyres are of the model Nokian Rotiiva AT in the ‘Camel Trophy’ size (215/85/16). The car can also be sold with the stock 205 R16 tyres.

The engine runs smoothly, sounds healthy and drives beautifully. The car got to the Historic Vehicle MOT in the summer of 2019.
