One of 794 hand built examples in OSI factory. The only known road worthy example in northern Europe.

– Sold to Ragnies, Belgium –

Born in Piscaia, Tuscany in 1891, Ferdinandi Innocenti started his business career by establishing a hardware store in Rome. The business grew, and in 1920 Ferdinandi established a factory in northern Italy in Milan, in the Lambrate district. The factory produced everything from soccer stands to railways, and the reconstruction boom in Rome in particular boosted demand.

The factories suffered in the Second World War, but Innocenti had kept them up and running productively for wartime needs even through difficult times. After the war, the factories also started producing for the vehicle industry, inspired by military motorcycles. Enrico Piaggio had introduced the Vespa in 1946, and Innocenti introduced their first scooter, Lambro River by  Lambretta, just a year later. The scooters became a huge success and were manufactured under license in Spain, India, Argentina, Germany, France and Brazil.

At the end of the 1950s, another economic boom followed in Italy, and the working class could for the first time get their own car, such as the Fiat 500. Ferdinando’s son Luigi had taken over as vice president of the company and began to explore the possibilities of manufacturing passenger cars. A cooperation partner was first found in Germany, and a small Iseria passenger car was born in cooperation with Goggomobil. However, production was very marginal until the early 1960s when Innocenti entered into a cooperation agreement with the British BMC and began to produce Innocenti Austins and Mini Minors under license.

Innocent’s first in-house model followed just a year later when it introduced the Austin-Healey Sprite-based 950 Spider. Encouraged by Innocenti’s first sports model, the collaboration with Ferrari also began, and two 186 GT prototypes equipped with the V6 from Maranello were completed, until Ferrari decided to bury the project in 1966.

Innocenti was not discouraged, and developed their own small Coupé model, which was presented later in the same year. Ghia used the earlier Spider model as the basis for the design, and Sergio Sartorelli, who has made a name for himself with models like the Karmann Ghia Type 34 and the Fiat 2300 S, was given the main responsibility for the design. The wheelbase was extended and the rear of the car was completely redesigned. Special attention was paid to the quality of the materials in the interior, and the GT spirit was also exuded by dashboard including five gauges, the oil pressure gauge was straight from the Ferrari 250 GTE. New Innocenti C was powered by BMC’s A-series 1098cc engine, producing 58bhp with two SU carburettors – enough for a coupe with a curb weight of just 695kg.

In the Tricolore spirit, the car was initially produced in green, red and white, until later Giallo Positano yellow also became an option. This 1968 model has been sold new in Sicily, where it has been the fourth car of a wealthy family. All of the car’s original documents, including the first registration certificate, manuals and service book are still on file. The car was bought in 2019 by T. Vilagi, who brought the car to Finland. The car had only 37 thousand kilometers on the odometer at the time, and Vilagi has driven about ten thousand more during the last three summers. The car is still in amazing, extraordinary original condition. The interior is completely original and untouched. A Cooper steering wheel is installed, but the original is preserved.

During Vilag’s ownership, a few parking dents have been repaired, the car has been serviced, and the master cylinder of the clutch and brake has been renewed. The car has been repainted in Italy to the original Giallo Positano yellow shade and the body is in really good and impressive condition.

An exceptionally original Innocenti C, which, to our knowledge, is the only specimen in driving condition in Northern Europe.

The car is Classic Data inspected with a rating of 2.

Innocenti is located in Vantaa, Finland – 25 minutes from Helsinki–Vantaa Airport. Views by appointment.

Designed for the upper middle class as a family saloon, the Rover began to look for a successor for the Rover P4 in the mid-1950s. Rover had already decided to create a bigger flagship car, and in 1958 the P5 series was introduced. However, the British car manufacturer wanted to reach a larger target group, such as young families, with a sporty and luxurious saloon. The new project of Rover included already succeed names such as Robert Boyle, Peter Bashford and  e.g. Spencer King, later known as the father of the Range Rover. Also Peter Wilks from Wilks family that was the head of Rover of that time, was involved.

In October 1963, Rover’s new CEO William Martin-Hurst introduced the P6 at the Earls Court Motor Show. The new car model was presented with a four-cylinder petrol engine, and the model name was Rover 2000. David Bache, who designed the shapes and body of car, had taken influences from, for example, the Citroen DS, and the body was modern and sporty. Influences from France were also sought in terms of comfort. Special attention was paid to the suspension – the De Dion suspension on the rear axle was both sporty and comfortable.

The end result was unique and successful. The Rover P6 was chosen as the first ever Car of the Year in 1964.

The engine range was completed with a slightly more powerful four and Rover’s V8 – the twin carburetor 2200 TC and 3500 V8 were introduced in 1968.

This car in question was sold new in Holland and first registered in December 1972. In Finland, the car was registered in 2008 and in Finland it has had two private owners – First P.Brummer 2008–2017 and later E.Vattulainen 2017–2023.

The car was thoroughly restored in Holland in the early 2000s. The body has been re-painted in Rover’s Cameron green shade and the interior has been reupholstered in the original materials and shades, including the seats and floor mats. Rover has also been taken mechanically care of, and wearing parts have been renewed during annual maintenances.

The car still gives an aristocratic ride, the Rover’s V8 burples sophisticatedly and the power of V8 is still there. The automatic transmission works precisely, including kickdown. The car has had periodic maintenance done in the spring of 2023, where the engine oil and filter have been changed and the battery has been renewed.

The Rover is registered as a museum vehicle. The Mot/Tüv inspection is valid until 05/2026.

The car is located in Vantaa, 25 minutes from Helsinki–Vantaa Airport. Views by appointment only.

Franklin Sport Sedan 135 ‘1929

Chassis nr. 35. 191164L12

Imported to Finland by current owner in 1985. Refurbished in Finland in the early 2000’s
Registered as a historic vehicle.

American Herbert H.Franklin founded a small pressure foundry in 1895. Franklin set up an office and a small factory in the “Lipe Shop”, in connection with C.E Lipe’s metal industry factory on Geddes Street in New York. A few years later, A.T.Brown and C.E Lipe, who developed and manufactured gearboxes, tools and machines, introduced Franklin to John Wilkinson, who developed air-cooled engines. The story of an upper-class air-cooled luxury car began.

The first air-cooled, four cylinder inline-engined Franklin cars entered the domestic market in 1902, when 13 cars were sold. A year later, 184 cars were already sold. Power transmission know-how had been utilized and the car had a three-speed transmission with a transfer wheel.

Air-cooled Franklins grew in popularity, and by the 1920s, production and sales numbers approached ten thousand per year. Cars and their engines grew bigger along with other technological developments. Because Franklin was air-cooled, it was attractive and popular  among famous pilots such as Charles Lindberg, Donald Douglas or Amelia Earhart. However, the depression that started in 1929 soon became the fate of Franklin specialized in expensive luxury cars, and the car production ended in 1934.

This 1929 Franklin Sports Sedan 135 was imported to Finland from the United States in 1985. Car is one of the very first ones with steel chassis. Apparently, only one similar car has been sold as new in Finland, which belonged to the furniture manufacturer Merivaara.

This particular was imported to Finland from USA in 1985 by A.Åvall. Franklin was in project condition and A.Åvall refurbished the car in the early 2000’s. Most of the body was painted and Åvall overhauled the car’s engine. The interior had already been reupholstered in the United States.

The engine of the 1929 Franklin is an original, 6-cylinder air-cooled inline engine. The pendulum-operated oil pump that lubricates the valves is still in use, and the heating device that blows cooling air directly from the exhaust manifolds, is in working order as well.

The car has been just serviced and adjusted in the spring of 2023, and both the engine and transmission work flawlessly and the car gives a festive ride.

The Franklin is registered as a museum vehicle and will be sold with fresh Mot/Tüv inspection done.

The car is located in Vantaa, 25 minutes from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Views by appointment only.

The success story of Mercedes W123 continued when the upper middle class sedan was updated in 1984-1985. In connection with the new W124 generation, Mercedes also changed the model name used for customers, and for the first time officially presented the E-series. Many legendary Mercedes innovations such as a single windshield wiper or manhole cover -wheels were introduced with the W124 series. The handling was familiar from Mercedes, whose cornerstone was the independent suspension built with gas shock absorbers and coil springs, with rear level adjustment in estate models and as an option for other model versions.

The open-top model of the E-series was presented in the fall of 1991 and production began in 1992. The basic idea of the body was borrowed from the coupé presented a couple of years earlier. The A-pillars of the open model were reinforced and dampers were added to the roof structures, trunk and chassis. This was done to reduce body vibrations typical for open-top cars and body slack felt when driving. Special attention was also paid to safety, for example with an automatic roll over curve that rises behind the rear passengers in the event of a crash.

The W124 cabriolet was introduced as the 300 Ce 24 model. In 1993, Mercedes experienced facelifts with the new front look of the S-series, and so did the open model E-series. At the same time, four-cylinder engines were introduced in connection with the open model, of which the E200 version was offered in Italy, Portugal and Greece.

This E200 Cabriolet in question, registered first time in September 1995, has been sold as new in Italy. From Italy, the car has traveled to Belgium, where a Finnish Mercedes enthusiast from Lahti bought it in 2015. In 2017, the enthusiast sold the car to the current owner, I. Lindroos.

The car has been serviced regularly and the car works very precisely. Typical defects, such as the slave cylinder of the clutch and the water valves of the heating device, have been renewed by the current owner.

The car’s Azure Blue paint finish is clean and attractive, and the cream-colored leather upholstery is intact. The blue cloth roof works flawlessly. The car also has air conditioning, the cell of which would need to be renewed to work.

The car’s engine and transmission work flawlessly and the car gives a luxurious ride. As Autocar wrote about the W124 series at the time, “It is perhaps the most prestigious model version of perhaps the most prestigious production car that Mercedes has ever produced. The W124 series represents guaranteed build quality and timeless design, and that makes the car historically significant.”

The Mercedes has been inspected in August 2022 and will be sold with fresh service.

The car is located in Vantaa, views by appointment.

Led by Sir William Lyons, a revolutionary car was born in Coventry, UK in the late 1950s: the Jaguar MKII. The car was advanced, with a unibody and disc brakes. Particular attention had been paid to the car’s silence, vibration damping and a comfortable but sporty suspension. As the Jaguars motto, launched first time with MKII said: “Grace, Space, Pace”.

The end result was a luxurious and sporty large mid-size sedan. A representative car the kind of bank robbers stole as an escape car. And a capable four-door sport saloon that succeeded also as a racing car the kind that German competitors like BMW and Mercedes could only dream of at the time.

This 1960 Old English White Jaguar MKII has been brought to Finland from California, USA. The previous owner was J.M. Lipscomb who lived in Oakland. The current owner, K. Luttinen, bought the car in 2013 in project condition, and the Jaguar has been thoroughly restored during his ownership.

The body of the car was completely restored at Anttola’s Autokorjaamo between 2014 and 2018. K. Luttinen acquired a body frame imported from the USA from Y. Bremer / Old Cars World, which was restored in the body grill and replaced in its entirety in place of the original rusted one. The restored body was painted throughout in the original Old English White shade.

The interior upholstery was completely renewed with original materials, including the floor mats and the seats as a whole. The roof upholstery was renewed. The wooden parts of the interior were renovated.

The car has been restored and serviced in repair shops specializing in Jaguars over the years and it is also in very good mechanical condition. Over the past few years, among other things, the rear wheel bearings have been renewed, the exhaust manifold has been coated, the wiper mechanism and the windshield and windshield washer tank have been renewed.

In the fall of 2022, drive shaft and rear brakes were renewed. The handbrake was also restored. In the spring of 2023, the car’s headlights and wiring harnesses have been renewed. The engine ignition has been adjusted, the engine oil has been changed and the rear and gearbox oils have been checked, the nipples of the chassis parts have been greased.

The car’s original 3.8 liter straight engine purrs smoothly. The gearbox and overdrive work precisely. The power of big block XK-inline six is still there and the car is festive to drive.

The car is registered as a historic vehicle and the next Mot/Tüv inspection is in July 2024. The Jaguar has had a Classic Data report with a rating of 2 in 2018. A very beatiful and well-mannered specimen ready to be enjoyed.

The car is located in Vantaa, 25 minutes from Helsinki–Vantaa Airport. Views by appointment.

The Austin-Healey car brand was born in 1952 as a result of the collaboration between BMC and Donald Healey. In the same year, the British Motor Company was also born because of the merger of Austin and Morris. Austin and Donald Healey wanted to offer a British sports car especially for the North American sports car market. Donald Healey had won the Monte Carlo rally in Invicta in 1931 and made a name for himself as the designer of Triumph and Riley sports cars. After the Second World War, he had established his own car factory, where cars were produced for Tickford and Duncan, for example. So the conditions for designing a successful sports car were already there.

In 1952, the first sports car designed by Austin and Healey was presented at the London Motor Show. Donald Healey’s son Geoffrey Healey and Barrie Bilbie were especially responsible for the developing of the new sports car. Gerry Coker helped with the design. The engine was an Austin straight four with two carburetors that pushed the sports car to a top speed of 100 mph. The car was initially named Healey Hundred, which was soon updated to Austin-Healey 100. The car was constantly developed and its power readings and driving characteristics improved.

In 1953, Donald Healey and Roger Menadue decided to build a BN-1 series Austin-Healey 100 race car for that year’s Mille Miglia and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The prototype models were followed by a highly tuned batch of 640 Austin-Healey 100 M models, and later a batch of around 500 Le Mans tuning kits offered to Healey dealers, which they fitted to the new Healey 100 BN1 and BN2 models.

This Austin-Healey 100 in question was manufactured in 1953 and was sold new in the United States. The US title from Sandwich IL, is preserved. The car was bought to Finland in project condition by Grips Garage, which specializes in the repair and restoration of British cars, in November 2014. The current owner of the car bought the car as a project and wanted Grips Garage to do a complete restoration of the car in the spirit of a Le Mans racer.

At Grips Garage, the Healey was taken to parts and the car was restored and completely rebuilt. The Austin-Healey was stripped down and the body was built into a 100% aluminum body, including hand-made door frames. The chassis was restored. In spirit of the Le Mans racing car, the hood is cooled and locked with a leather strap. The body’s chrome moldings and bumpers were completely renewed. The aluminum petrol tank is filled from the Monza filling cap.

In August 1954, on the salt flats of Bonneville, Utah, an Austin-Healey factory racer broke the world record for Class D racing cars by driving for 24 hours at an average speed of 132.81 miles per hour. Commanded by Donald Healey, George Eysston, Carrol Shelby, Mort Goodall and Roy Jackson-Moore, the car was painted in a pastel green metallic shade. With rebuilt and restoration, It was decided to paint this car in the same shade.

The original block of the car’s engine has been machined and the engine assembled with the best possible parts, keeping in mind high peak power and still the usability of the car suitable for normal traffic use. The engine has a forged crankshaft, forged rocker arms and forged pistons designed for a highly tuned engine. The cylinder head is an aluminum Fast Road made by Denis Welch and the camshaft is the Healey 100 S model. Petrol is dispensed by 1 3/4″ “Le Mans” SU carburetors. The car has CSI electronic ignition, a Dynator alternator and a modern power start. The engine has an aluminum oil sump and an oil condenser. The exhaust sounds of the tuned engine are played by the “big bore” exhaust.

The car’s gearbox is a completely new 5-speed. Both prop-shaft and drive shafts are new and strengthened. The car’s steering is really precise and accurate, steering gear box is renewed.

The car’s brakes and the entire suspension were renewed. The car has disc brakes both in front and rear. All the chassis and arms bushings, bearings and joints have also been renewed and the car has been assembled with new bolts and nuts.

The interior has been completely rebuilt with dark green tones of leather and cloth and finished with a wood-rimmed Motolita steering wheel. The original gauges have been restored. The Healey runs with new 72-spoke chrome surface rims from Vredestain – classic tires.

After the completion of the restoration, the car has only been driven for a test drive of about 500 kilometers and the car is like new. Assembled with new parts, bolts and nuts, the car is really impressive as a whole, the restoration and built in a racing spirit, the end result is concours level and the car can withstand close inspection.

The engine and transmission works perfectly and the car is both really fast and great to drive.

Registered as a historic vehicle, Mot/Tüv inspection valid 10/2026.

On September 28, 1949, at the London Motor Show, Rover presented the new P4 generation with 75 model, named after the horsepower. New P4, saloon for the upper middle class, was designed by Gordon Bashford and ideas was borrow e.g. across the oceans from Studebakers. Pontoon designed car looked very modern comparing to the earlier, boxy P3. The bonnet, tailgate and doors of the body were aluminum and the body was designed for a separate chassis. The power source was Rover’s own straight engine, with a displacement of 2.1 liters.

In the 1950s, Rover’s successful P4 generation underwent many improvements and several different model versions were introduced, which were also named in the languages of top performance. The gear selector moved from the steering column to a floor mounted model, the brakes became hydraulic and disc brakes came to the front. The engine’s displacement increased up to 2.6 liters, and there were also versions with the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder mixed-valve engines familiar from Land Rovers and the 2.3-liter versions with overhead valves.

This car is a 1961 Rover 100 P4, equipped with a four-speed manual transmission. K.Linnavuori of Karaasi, Specialized  in British cars since 1970’s, remembers seeing the car often parked in Töölö, Helsinki in the 1960s. The car ended up in Linnavuori at the end of the 1970s, and the Rover was restored for the customer. However, the customer decided to leave the restoration of the car unfinished and the car remained standing unused for a long time.

In 2001, L.Staffans bought the car as a gift for his father-in-law. The car underwent a complete engine overhaul, the gearbox was restored and the body was restored and painted. The car was completed in 2003 and the car is still owned by the same family.

In 2023, the car was comprehesively serviced and refurbished in Karaasi:

The Rover’s ignition parts have been renewed and CSI’s electronic ignition has been installed in the car. The engine oil and filter have been changed and the chassis oil checked. The brakes have been renovated, the brake cylinder renewed and the brake fluids changed. Wheel bearings and grease nipples serviced.

The Rover has an electric power steering, thanks to which the handling of the car is effortless. The engine runs really smoothly and the gearbox and controls work properly.

The car is registered as a museum vehicle and inspected in March 2023. Next inspection in spring 2027.

A really nice and well mannered Rover P4, ready to enjoy.

In September 1956 in Swedish town of Örebro, Volvo presented to the press a car developed at the factory under the type code 1200. It was, off course, a successor to the PV444/544 series, which was produced by the Volvo under the code 1100. Production started soon after the presentation. Part of the reason for the rapid start of production was certainly also in the roots of the new model, of which e.g. the wheelbase was borrowed directly from the predecessor. The body of the car was designed by only 26-year-old Jan Wilsgaard, who took influences from the American, British and Italian car design styles of the 1950s. The four-door hatchback was fresh and impressive, and liked at first sight. Wilsgaard later became Volvo’s head of design, responsible for the design of several different model series in several decades.

During the production phase, the model series of new model was named the 120 series, and the basic model equipped with one carburetor as the 121.

The model name was at first supposed to be Amason with an S, but the German motorcycle manufacturer Kreidler had just introduced the Amazone moped. It was agreed that Volvo could use the model name in the Nordic countries, elsewhere the car was known as different versions of the 120 series. In the end, the car was presented to Nordic customers with the concise name Amazon, which was borrowed from Greek mythology. It meant a female warrior, but now, after its introduction 67 years ago, it is still perhaps the most iconic Swedish family car.

In 1958, Volvo introduced the 122S, where the fuel was dosed by two carburetors and the power output had increased by 19 horsepower to 85. Soon, also a different body models came available for demandable consumers: in 1961, a two-door version of the saloon was introduced, and a year later, a five-door station wagon. The Swedish family station wagon was equipped with a two-part tailgate and spacious spaces for both passengers and luggage.

This 1967 station wagon in question was sold as new in Finland. In 1993, the car was bought by Volvo collector, who in 1997 registered Amazon as a museum vehicle. The car is still in exceptionally original condition. Over the years, the car has been painted in the original dark green shade. The dark brown vinyl upholstery on the seats is still original and intact.

The current and fourth owner bought the car in 2006 and has enjoyed it in the summer for 17 years. The car has been serviced regularly and stored in a warm garage. During current ownership the clutch and exhaust have been renewed and the wearing parts of the brakes have been replaced. The museum vehicle was MOT/Tüv inspected in spring 2021, and the inspection is valid until spring 2025.

A beautiful and practical classic car for the whole family, ready to enjoy.

The car is located in Kirkkonummi, about an hour’s drive from Helsinki–Vantaa airport.

Fast, beautiful and agile, the original Mini!

The original Mini was designed by Alec Issigonis to answer for the need of small and economic cars. In late 50’s there was shortage of a fuel caused by Suez Crisis and the small German Bubble cars were popular in UK, even where imported cars were still a rarity. The headstrong and autocratic head of the British Motor Company, Leonard Lord, did not like the situation and wanted to offer the rival for the small German-made Bubble cars. He decided that BMC would design and produce a decent, really small family car. In 1959 Mini was introduced.

This classic beautiful Mini is a real driving pleasure and fun at its best. Equipped with a Su carburetor and suitably tuned, the 1275cc engine with performance camshaft, is perky and lively. The car is surely fast enough to drive and the engine pulls nicely through the rev range. Engine and other Mini’s updates are rebuilt by Mini specialist Juha Kaivo-oja / Huutijärven auto. Sporty suspension encourages you to enjoy the curves of the windy roads.

Current owner J.Pietarila bought the car in october 1987 from his friend, who had just bought the only 10 year old Mini from its first owner. The car was in totally original rust free condition.

The car has left the factory as a Morris Mini 1000 MK IV, but it has been updated during J.Pietarila’s ownership with respect for its originality. The Mini is also registered for the bigger 1275 cc engine. Brakes in front have been updated to disc brakes with power brake booster. Exhaust has been updated to sport exhaust and it sounds just right.

Interior is updated with recaro sport seats. Original seats, steering wheel and grill are preserved as well. The sale includes also a set of period correct Dunlop wheels.

Everything is in very good and healthy working order: Lights, heater, engine and electrics. The body is is still in great and original condition. There are no rust problems and the car is very solid also underneath. Stylish two-tone metallic green color combination: Original light metallic green with dark metallic green boot, roof and wheel arches!

This car is still owned by J.Pietarila, but also our family’s enthusiasm for British cars has its roots, especially with Mini. My great uncle Antti once worked as a mechanic for Rally Legend Timo Mäkinen and also competed on gravel and track himself. When Timo Mäkinen drove Finland’s first Monte Carlo victories with the Mini, everyone had to get their own Mini, respecting the example. Literally everyone in our family had a Mini at some point.

An exceptionally small but exceptionally big car. Few cars have such a wonderful history in both everyday life and motorsports. A great opportunity to experience the joy of driving with reasonable money!

This car is located in Tampere, 2 hours from Helsinki–Vantaa Airport. Views by appointment.
